    WHAT EXACTLY IS REFACING?

Cabinet refacing involves replacing/veneering your existing cabinet exteriors (the parts that are visible all the time). The cabinet boxes remain in place and you receive a new veneer finish on the fronts and sides while your doors/drawer fronts are completely replaced with all new RTF (Rigid Thermofoil) wrapped doors/drawer fronts.

Several years ago the refacing products were inferior – but today the products are exceptional and stand the test of time. The company we use, Northern Contours, is located in Minnesota and has been doing this since 1992. We believe in the quality of their products so much that we offer a lifetime warranty – the refacing products are warrantied not to chip, crack, bubble, peel, delaminate, and they are UV protected so they will not fade or discolor. We are proud to say we are the ONLY company that offers this!

  • BENEFITS TO REFACING YOUR EXISTING CABINETS

    Provides a Brand New Look

With refacing you can keep the same layout and countertops/backsplash if you have recently updated your kitchen. You can also change the style and color to obtain the look of a brand new kitchen without removing everything.

What is Included With a Refacing Project?

You will receive all new doors/drawer fronts, drawer boxes, soft closing hinges on all the doors and drawers, crown molding for the top (if there is room), floor molding, and outside hardware. Then we reface the fronts and sides so that everything matches beautifully. The refacing products that we use (from Northern Contours) are certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturer’s Association (KCMA). They set the standards for cabinetry and the KCMA does rigorous testing to ensure that the products will stand up over time. This KCMA accreditation guarantees that you are receiving the best refacing products available.

How Long Will A Refacing Project Take?

Most refacing projects can be completed within 7-10 days (maximum time) and you can use your kitchen during the process. Cabinet refacing qualifies as a “green” solution because you’re not adding to a landfill so you are helping the environment.

  • REFACE YOUR CABINETS

IMPROVE THE APPEARANCE OF YOUR CABINETS

Cabinet refacing is a great option if you want to keep your existing counter tops and/or you like your current layout. The boxes themselves need to be in good condition but the doors and drawers (usually the areas that become damaged over time) will be replaced with all new doors, individual drawer boxes, and drawer fronts. Then we reface the fronts and sides to match the new doors/drawers. You get the look of a brand new kitchen/bathroom without pulling everything out.
